From John R. Leonetti, the director of "Annabelle", the horror film "Wish Upon" tells the story of a teenager (Joey King) who receives a mysterious music box as a gift from her father, only to discover that the box can make her every wish come true. What she also discovers is that there's a horrible price to pay for each new wish.

The film also stars Ki Hong Lee, Sydney Park, Shannon Purser, Ryan Phillippe and Sherilyn Fenn.

"Wish Upon" opened in theaters on July 14th, 2017 and received mostly negative reviews from critics, who considered the film a forgettable and cliched horror film. It also performed poorly at the box-office, opening in seventh place with just $5.6 million.

"In the latest horror thriller from the director of ANNABELLE, 17-year-old CLARE SHANNON (Joey King) is barely surviving the hell that is high school, along with her friends MEREDITH (Sydney Park) and JUNE (Shannon Purser).
