"My Cousin Rachel" is a new adaptation of the 1951 novel of the same name written by Daphne du Maurier, and the first big screen adaptation since the 1952 film starring Richard Burton and Olivia de Havilland.

Written and directed by Roger Michell ("Notting Hill"), the film tells the story of a young Englishman (Sam Claflin) who plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin (Rachel Weisz), believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms.

The cast also includes Holliday Grainger, Iain Glen, Poppy Lee Friar and Andrew Havill.

"My Cousin Rachel" opened in select theaters in the U.S., and in the U.K. on June 9th, 2017. It received generally positive reviews from critics.
