Released by Blumhouse Tilt, the drama "Lowriders" is set against the vibrant backdrop of East LA's near-spiritual car culture, and it stars Gabriel Chavarria as a young street artist who is caught between the lowrider world inhabited by his old-school father (Demián Bichir) and ex-con brother (Theo Rossi), and the adrenaline-fueled outlet that defines his self-expression.

Directed by Ricardo de Montreuil ("La mujer de mi hermano"), the film also stars Tony Revolori, Melissa Benoist, Yvette Monreal, Eva Longoria, and Noel Gugliemi.

"Lowriders" opened in theaters on May 12th, 2017 in limited release and received mixed reviews. It exceeded expectations at the box-office and grossed $2.4 million from only 295 theaters.
