"Desierto" is a thriller co-written and directed by Jonás Cuarón ("Gravity"). The film follows a group of of people trying to cross the border from Mexico into the United States, hoping for a better life. Dreams turn into nightmares, however, when they encounter a deranged vigilante who mercilessly chases them through the desert. The cast features Gael García Bernal, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Alondra Hidalgo, Diego Cataño and Marco Pérez.
"Desierto" opens in theaters in limited release on October 14th.

Official Synopsis
"What begins as a hopeful journey to seek a better life becomes a harrowing and primal fight for survival when a deranged, rifle-toting vigilante chases a group of unarmed men and women through the treacherous U.S.-Mexican border. In the harsh, unforgiving desert terrain, the odds are stacked firmly against them as they continuously discover there's nowhere to hide from the unrelenting, merciless killer."
