The first trailer and poster for Edgar Wright's comedy "The World's End" have been released. In the film, five childhood friends attempt an epic bar crawl, but in the process they discover that their hometown is overrun by some otherworldly beings. The fate of humanity, and the epic bar crawl, hangs in the balance. I must say I like what the trailer teases and it looks hilarious, while also providing an interesting twist on the wild-drunk-party-comedy genre which includes films like "The Hangover" and "21 & Over". "The World's End" stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman and Rosamund Pike. The release dates are August 14th for the UK and October 25th for the US.

Official Synopsis
"20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries."
