Weekend Box-Office Report (April 5-7, 2013)

The "Evil Dead" remake opened straight at the top spot this weekend with $26 million, more than decent for a hard-R horror made on a budget of $17 million. The other wide release of the week, "Jurassic Park 3D" opened at #4 with $18 million of pure nostalgia. As a 3D re-release, the film pulled in similar weekend numbers as "Titanic 3D" ($17 million) and "The Phantom Menace 3D" ($22 million), neither great nor bad. The biggest opening weekend for a 3D re-release remains that of 2011's "The Lion King (in 3D)" ($30 million). "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", "The Croods" and "Olympus has Fallen" round up the top 5.

More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.
