  • Director Colin Trevorrow ("Safety Not Guaranteed") who was recently hired to direct "Jurassic Park 4", has been teasing the fact that the fourth installment will feature a scary new dinosaur. According to Trevvorow, they have been collaborating with paleontologist Jack Horner who was tasked with finding the perfect new dinosaur. Horner is a scientific consultant who has worked on all three "Jurassic Park" movies and Spielberg's short-lived "Terra Nova" TV series. In a recent interview he has said "I can’t actually tell you who that will be, but you’ll want to keep the lights on after you see this movie." I'll believe it when I see it.

  • Justin Lin has stepped down from directing "Fast & Furious 7". He has been the director of the franchise for the past 4 movies, since "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" and including the upcoming "Fast & Furious 6". He is responsible for the huge wave of popularity that the series is currently enjoying, but has dropped out of the seventh installment because he felt he didn't have enough time to get it ready for the 2014 release that Universal is hoping for. The studio is currently scrambling to find a substitute for Lin, with Jeff Wadlow ("Kick-Ass 2"), Brad Furman ("The Lincoln Lawyer") and Harald Zwart ("The Karate Kid") as possible replacements.

  • Michael Bay's "Transformers 4" will film in China. Paramount has long been planning to join forces with Chinese production companies for the sequel. The two partner companies have been revealed to be China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises. The move is intended to boost the box-office numbers, a strategy which seems to catch on in Hollywood and was also adopted recently by Marvel for "Iron Man 3", which will feature extra scenes with actors Bingbing Fan and Xueqi Wang for the Chinese version, scenes which will not be featured in the US release. Similarly, "Transformers 4" will star several Chinese actors and a large part of the film's plot is set in China.

  • Pixar will begin work on the "Finding Nemo" sequel titled "Finding Dory", which is set for release on November 25, 2015. The sequel's story will take place one year after the events of the first film and will focus more on the character Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo will also be included in the plot. Director Andrew Stanton will return to direct the film and recently spoke about it saying "One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In Finding Dory, she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way."
