Weekend Box-Office Report (February 8-10, 2013)

Identity Thief Melissa McCarthy

The comedy "Identity Thief", starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, opened at #1 this weekend with only light resistence from Steven Soderbergh's thriller "Side Effects". "Top Gun" didn't make the top 10 with it's 3D and IMAX re-release, but managed a decent $1.9 million from 300 theaters. Walter Hill's action flick "Bullet to the Head" starring Sylvester Stallone took one step closer to oblivion, plumetting to #10 after only 10 days in theaters. Stallone now joins Schwarzenegger's unlucky box-office performance. Arnold Schwarzenegger's first film since 2003, "The Last Stand", also fell out of the top 10 after two weeks.

More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.

New Wide Releases: "Identity Thief", "Side Effects", "Top Gun 3D".

Weekend Total: aprox. $85M.

Biggest Drop : "Bullet to the Head" (-56%)

Smallest Drop : "Silver Linings Playbook" (-10%)
