  • The synopsis for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" has been revealed, and we have two more actors confirmed to have joined the cast of the sequel. Paul Giamatti and Colm Feore have come aboard, but their respective roles have not been specified by the filmmakers. Here is the official synopsis for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" :
"In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. "
  • Paul Walker
Since the 2007 videogame adaptation "Hitman" starring Timothy Olyphant wasn't as successful as Fox expected, many thought the big screen franchise was doomed. Today, we discover there is still hope. Fox International Productions has greenlit a reboot called "Agent 47" which will be written by Skip Woods ("A Good Day to Die Hard", "The A-Team") and directed by commercials director Aleksander Bach. Paul Walker ("Fast & Furious") will star in the lead role. Production begins in June and shooting locations include Berlin and Singapore.

  • Michael Keaton
And to keep things grounded in videogame territory, another big screen adaptation of another digital franchise, "Need for Speed" is moving forward with the casting. Michael Keaton ("Batman", "RoboCop" remake) has been added to the cast and will play a "reclusive and eccentric host of an underground supercar race where he invites the best drivers from around the world." The "Need for Speed" adaptation is written by John Gatins (Academy Award nominee for "Flight") and also stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots. The release date has been set for February 7, 2014.

  • Lana and Andy Wachowski
Lana and Andy Wachowski, the masterminds behind last year's epic "Cloud Atlas", are preparing for another sci-fi called "Jupiter Ascending". The film will star Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne and Sean Bean. The story is "set in a time where humans are at the bottom of the evolutionary ladder and follows a woman who has been targeted for assassination by the queen of the universe.". Sean Bean will star as a Han Solo-type character. Stay tuned for more updates.
