New TV Spots for JACK THE GIANT SLAYER, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, OZ and THE CALL

Jack the Giant Slayer Movie Poster Beautiful Creatures Movie Poster Oz the Great and Powerful Movie Poster

We have some new TV spots today:

  • A new spot for "Jack the Giant Slayer". The film is directed by Bryan Singer ("X-Men", "X2") and stars Nicholas Hoult, Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, Stanley Tucci and Bill Nighy. Release date: May 1st, 2013.

  • A new "Hey look what the critics said !" TV spot for "Beautiful Creatures", even though the movie scored just a 45% on Rottentomatoes.com. Now in theaters.

  • The newest TV spot for "Oz the Great and Powerful", which is called "Battle for Oz", makes the Disney movie look like "Lord of the Rings". They sure used a lot of CGI. "Oz" stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz. Release date: March 8, 2013.

  • A short but sweet spot for "The Call", Halle Berry's upcoming thriller, which kind of reminds me of the TV series "Dangerous Minds" for some reason. The film also stars Abigail Breslin and will be released on March 15th.

Watch the TV spots after the jump.

JACK THE GIANT SLAYER

"Jack the Giant Slayer" tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend-and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES

A supernatural love story set in the South, "Beautiful Creatures" tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

Disney's fantastical adventure "Oz The Great and Powerful," directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum's beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot-fame and fortune are his for the taking-that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity-and even a bit of wizardry-Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well. When small-time magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) pulls one flimflam too many, he finds himself hurled into the fantastical Land of Oz where he must somehow transform himself into the great wizard-and just maybe into a better man as well.

THE CALL

When veteran 911 operator, Jordan, takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl who has just been abducted, she realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl's life.
